Not only my best friend, but also an amazing grandmother who taught me many things, and still does to this day. I remember her wearing a bright red coat, when we I was young, with black toggles and mint imperials in her pockets ready to share. I was lucky to have such a great role model in my life and I believe every child deserves to have a little piece of Granny V in their lives. I currently work as a primary school teacher and my class love colourful books which are written in rhyme. I have created this book to help children, especially those in Key Stage 1, to learn about colour mixing. During my art lessons I found that most children were unaware that other colours could be created from mixing the primary colours. My aim is to make learning this topic fun and interesting through the story of Granny V and her little dog Jess. Every child loves to paint and be creative and I believe this book will allow them not only to have a great story, which they can laugh at and read, but also become confident in this skill which features in the National Primary Curriculum.Happy Reading!
